Kazakhstan to build new gas processing plant in W Kazakhstan
Akim (governor) of the West Kazakhstan region, Nariman Turegaliyev, met with local stakeholders in Oral to discuss key regional development issues, Kazinform News Agency has learned from the press service of the regional akimat.

Among other things, a plan for the development of the Karachaganak field was presented, which provides for the construction of a new gas processing plant with a capacity of 4 billion cubic meters of gas per year until 2028. This project will be an important step towards strengthening the economic base of the region.
The akim of the region also emphasized that the Head of State had set a task to increase the inflow of foreign and domestic investments.
“In 2025, a substantial investment in fixed capital is anticipated, reaching 841 billion tenge, with 576 billion tenge expected to be foreign direct investment. The planned major projects include the production of household chemicals with investments of 1.2 billion tenge, as well as the creation of aluminum wire and vegetable storage with a capacity of 4,000 tonnes for 720 million tenge and 2 billion tenge, respectively,” Nariman Turegaliyev highlighted.
Additionally, projects on waste recycling and solar energy utilization as well as production of mixtures for the oil and gas industry are planned in collaboration with a Korean investor, with an estimated budget of 4 billion tenge.
These projects are expected to not only create new employment opportunities, but also significantly increase tax revenues for the region.
According to Nariman Turegaliyev, such projects will have a positive impact on the quality of life of local population, contributing to the improvement of infrastructure and creating favorable conditions for citizens to live and work.
