Kazakhstan to become important player of world economy - Czech President

"I visited Kazakhstan 12-13 years ago when I was the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and what I see today is a dramatic progress, especially in terms of construction in the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana. President Nazarbayev familiarized me with the plans of construction until 2050 and I am confident that thanks to diligence of the people of Kazakhstan your country will become one of the important players of world economy," President Zeman said. Mr. Zeman noted that 85 Czech businessmen came to Astana within the framework of his visit. To date there are 200 Czech companies in Kazakhstan. According to the Czech President, in order to develop cooperation between the two countries it is crucial to step up the volume of investments. He expressed confidence that the cooperation agreement between the Czech National Bank and the National Bank of Kazakhstan will be signed in the nearest future.
