Kazakhstan to assemble three new models of Škoda cars

UST-KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - A car assembly plant of Asia Avto JSC has launched production of three news models of Škoda cars - Rapid Spaceback, Octavia RS and Octavia 1.6MPI in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Škoda Auto car company made official presentation of the models on Friday (July 4).
"2014 will be a big year for Škoda. We sold nearly 940,000 vehicles last year. This year we are planning to cross the one million threshold. We've already increased sales by 14% in past five months," said Jan Novak, Škoda Auto's representative in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. In his words, Škoda sales more than doubled in Kazakhstan in 2013. It is worth mentioning that this year Kazakhstan's demand for these value-for-money cars has already increased by 56%.
