Kazakhstan, the US to adopt energy coop joint plan

According to the organizers, the parties are expected to agree on further work on the energy partnership agenda and development of new initiatives meeting the interests of both countries. The governments will bolster cooperation in strengthening nuclear security, accumulation of new knowledge and practice in atomic energy, renewable energy sources and energy-efficiency and also contribute to regional energy cooperation, reduction of methane emissions and diversification of export oil and gas routes.

Following the meeting co-chairmen will adopt a joint action plan to define cooperation of the two countries in areas such as physical nuclear security and atomic energy, hydrocarbon resources a n d renewable energy resources and energy-efficiency, electric energy.
