Kazakhstan: The best directorial debut film at Tribeca Film Festival in New York

"Our film "Lessons of Harmony " was fighting for the title of best debut along with 24 other bands from different sections of the festival program. The competition is serious, and we are very pleased to receive a diploma from the International Jury. Festival under the direction of Robert De Niro presented the first prize to the Kazakh director " said the producer of the film Anna Katchko.

Before the opening of the well-known edition named "Village Voice" included  film "Lessons of Harmony" in the list of the ten releases, which should be a must-see. In total this year's Tribeca has shown 89 films.

According to the American «Twitch» movie portal «The lessons of harmony" is to be extremely successful debut work, signaling the emergence of a new talent." The review also states that the film is impressive, camera work is great, laconic humor, and the ability of the young director to work with non-actors. Radio Free Europe noted that the Kazakh film "Lessons of Harmony" was able to win the love of not only the critics, but also the public. IAt Tribeca the film has collected a full house.

The main award of the festival in the category of "Best Feature Film" has received an Australian film called "Rocket" and the jury named the best actor who played in it the 10-year-old Lao Sithifona Disamoe. In the documentary category the victory belongs to the film "Killing Team" by American director Dan Krauss.

It should be recalled that "Lessons of Harmony" is the first Kazakh film, presented in the main competition of the International Film Festival "Berlinale 2013". It won the "Silver Bear" for best cinematography of Zhambakiev Aziz, the prize of the central German newspaper Morgen Post, and numerous positive reviews of the world of film critics.
