Kazakhstan, the Benelux countries agree to abolish visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports

BRUSSELS. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan and the Benelux states have signed an agreement on readmission and exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports.

At a ceremony of signing Belgian Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration Theo Franken expressed deep satisfaction with the efforts of Kazakhstan to cooperate with the Benelux countries in the field of law enforcement and combating illegal migration. In addition he called for the strengthening of diplomatic relations between the states. It bears to remind that the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Benelux countries on readmission and the Agreement between the governments of the two states on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports have been signed in Brussels. Signatories to the above mentioned documents were made by the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Idrissov and the Belgian Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration T.Franken, as well as ambassadors of Luxembourg and the Netherlands to the Kingdom of Belgium - Jean-Jacques Velfring and Jan Yurian Shuver. These two documents will come into force after the parties complete the necessary domestic procedures.
