Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Siemens AG to set up a joint venture

ASTANA. April 8. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company and Siemens AG set up a joint venture to realize projects on electrification of Kazakhstani railways, the company's press service reports.
A solemn signing ceremony of foundation documents of "Temir Zholy Electrification" JV created by subsidiary enterprises of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy "Remlokomotiv" and electrification department of Siemens AG Industry Sector Mobility Division took place on April 1, 2011 in Astana.
The new joint venture is supposed to realize projects in the sphere of electrification of Kazakhstani railways, modernization of railway substations and trunk lines overhead systems.
