?Kazakhstan Temir Zholy?, ?General Electric? signed agreement on coop

ASTANA. May 29. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ ?Kazakhstan Temir Zholy? National Company? JSC and American ?General Electric Transportation? Company have signed service agreement on operation of locomotives, produced by ?General Electric? today in Astana.
The agreement was signed by Vice President of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy? Yerik Sultanov and Chairman and CEO of General Electric International Jeffrey R. Immelt.
The contract to the amount of USD 500 mln is designed for 15 years. In accordance with the conditions of the agreement, the American company will provide services on operation and capital repair of the ?EG? locomotive stock, functioning on the territory of Kazakhstan.
As the ?EG? CEO noted, Kazakhstan is good partner for American side. There exist many common interests in the bilateral cooperation with the Kazakh Government and ?Samruk Kazyna? National Welfare Fund.
