Kazakhstan suggests Russia becoming co-founder of Kyrgyzstan Assistance Foundation

ASTANA. July 20. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakhstan suggests Russia becoming a co-founder of Kyrgyzstan Assistance Fund. Kazakh Minister of Finance Bolat Zhamishev said it at the Government's sitting with the participation of Kyrgyz delegation and international financial organizations in Astana.

He noted that Kazakhstan put forwards this initiative in the context of Kazakh-Russian close interaction on coordination of assistance to Kyrgyzstan. According to him, a scheme looks like as follows: Russia and Kazakhstan are co-founders, Kyrgyzstan is a recipient, and the World Bank is a fund manager.

As reported earlier, the fund will be established under the aegis of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Kazakhstan will contribute USD 10 million to establish foundation.
