Kazakhstan striving for regional cooperation ? conference in Almaty

ALMATY. June 9. KAZINFORM. /Dauren Zhailin/ ?Kazakhstan?s position has been formed and made public several years ago. It is its striving for regional cooperation?, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Policy Analysis and Forecasting Committee of the Kazakh Foreign Affairs Ministry Sanat Kushkumbayev has said at the VII annual Almaty conference ?Central Asia in terms of geopolitical transformation and world economic crisis? today.
According to him, Kazakhstan is striving for effective economic interaction. ?It does not mean integration, but a complex form of cooperation ? a dialog in the format of raising problems. The idea of Central Asian union lies in it?, S. Kushkumbayev noted.
?Provided that we build ties in the political, economic and other spheres we will be able to address a major part of problems at the regional level?, he added.
