Kazakhstan still going strong in medal standings after Olympic Day 4

Weightlifter from Kazakhstan Maiya Maneza ousted her opponents in women's 63 kilo weight category and won gold setting the new Olympic record of 245 kilograms in total.

Kazakh boxers Birzhan Zhakypov (49 kg) and Daniyar Yeleussinov (64 kg) advanced to round of 16. B. Zhakypov beat 18-17 Jeremy Beccu of France and D. Yeleussinov masterfully beat Jamel Herring of the USA 19-9 in London.

Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova failed to advance in women's singles by losing to Sabine Lisicki of Germany 6-4, 3-6, 5-7at London Olympics. Kazakh water polo team lost 4-7 to Australia during the second match at 2012 Olympics in London.  Judo athlete Islam Bozbayev (81 kg) was crashed by his opponent from Germany Ole Bischof in elimination round of 16 in London.

China is still leading the pack with 13 gold medals. The USA comes second,followed by France.
