Kazakhstan spent KZT 8.1 billion a year for support of orphanages

ASTANA. February 21. KAZINFORM "Supporting orphanages in Kazakhstan costs the government KZT 8.1 billion a year," Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Sayat Shayakhmetov announced today at the joint board meeting of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Health.
"KZT 8 133 million a year go to the support of all children's homes. This is the last updated figure," S. Shayakhmetov informed.
The Vice Minister said that half of this amount is spent on food and clothes for the children, about 15% for the utility costs, and the remaining goes to the salary of employees.
