Kazakhstan, South Korea to cancel visa requirements

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea have signed a treaty on cancelation of visa requirements as part of the first state visit of South Korean President Park Geun-hye to Astana.

The document was inked in the Akorda presidential residence by Foreign Affairs Minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov and his South Korean colleague Yun Byung-se. Earlier, the Kazakh ministry announced that Kazakhstan and South Korea had planned to sign a visa-free regime for up to one month. The authorities hope that a one-month visa-free stay in Kazakhstan and South Korea will boost the development of tourism, medicine, science, students exchange in the countries.
