Kazakhstan shuts down 15 extremist websites

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 15 websites calling for extremism have been shut down in Kazakhstan in the first half of 2014, Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev said.
Mr. Daulbayev announced the news at the extended session of the Prosecutor General's Office in Astana on Friday. In his words, after the content of these websites had been deemed as calling for extremism and terrorism by local courts, the internet resources were blocked. "Dissemination of extremist materials is strictly prohibited on the territory of Kazakhstan", the Prosecutor General added.
