Kazakhstan set to launch $700-mln worth ferrochrome plant this year

First Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau has told a press conference in Astana today.

"This enterprise will be, dare I say it, one of the best in the world. The most advanced achievements and technologies have been used to construct it," A. Rau stated.

In his words, the government is an active supported of the new $700 million-worth project. The plant is set to be launched by the end of this year. "This is indeed the project of the year," the official added.
