Kazakhstan serious on OSCE Chair's obligations - Kairat Abusseitov, Ambassador to UK

The program focused on human rights and word freedom, political system and the action plan on improvement of the OSCE activity initiated by Kazakhstan. In particular, a moderator of the program noted that Kazakhstan was the first CIS state honored to chair such important international organization which imposed great responsibility on our country too. In turn, K. Abusseitov said Kazakhstan took its obligations quite seriously and intended to conform to the requirements of the world community. The country improves its political system consistently in accordance with the principles of democracy and builds real free and secular state, the Ambassador stressed. Speaking on the measures of changing the OSCE K. Abusseitov pointed out necessity of raising the Organization's weight primarily among the post-soviet countries as well as importance of taking measures on ensuring security in CA.

"Kazakhstan has never considered human rights as less important than security of the state. We accept democratic principles and try to follow them. However development of political freedom is closely connected with a whole complex of problems. We have to act gradually alongside consistently not to disrupt the balance", Mr. Abusseitov said.
