He voiced such opinion at the republican conference Role of educational institutes in prophylaxis of self-injurious behavior among young people on Wednesday. "Over the past decade the number of suicides in Kazakhstan has dropped. It is mainly thanks to such powerful socioeconomic factors as sustainability and reduction in level of unemployment countrywide," he said. According to him, young people committed 248 suicides back in 2004. To compare, 193 suicidal deaths were registered in 2013.
