Kazakhstan sees decline in number of orphans

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Ministry of Education and Science says the number of orphaned children in Kazakshtan has declined.
"Over the past five years the total number of orphaned children has decreased by 8,812 kids," chairperson of the Committee for Protection of Children's Rights of the ministry Zabira Orazaliyeva said Thursday. Recent numbers from the ministry show there are 33,680 orphans and children left without parental care countrywide.
