Kazakhstan secures 1st gold at Boxing World Cup in Montenegro

Kazakhstani boxer Regina Tibeneva pocketed the first gold medal for Kazakhstan at the international tournament "Pearl of the Adriatic" in Budva, Montenegro, which holds the status of a Youth World Cup, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from Sports.kz.
Kazakhstan’s Tibeneva clashed with her compatriot Aknur Tursyngali, winning by a split decision — 3:2 in the 57kg final bout.
Thus, Regina Tibeneva became the champion of the tournament, while Aknur Tursyngali finished her Youth World Cup campaign with a silver medal.
As reported earlier, the draw for the Women's Boxing World Championship, set to take place in Niš, Serbia, on March 9-16, has been completed.
