Kazakhstan satisfied with results of work within Customs Union
"I would like to note that the Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia has been functioning for a year. While establishing it we pursued the goal of removing barriers in mutual trade, creation of joint enterprises and improvement of investment attractiveness of our economies".
He noted that export of Kazakhstan to Russia had risen by 38% and to Belarus - by 50%. Business obtained a delay in payment of VAT on import and excises for a period 50 days; the cost of cargo customs declaration was lowered by EUR 70; a number of certificates was abolished. According to the President this is a very significant support.
The Kazakh President informed of signing a Protocol of amendments to the Treaty of the CU Commission which will accelerate enactment of the decision of the CU Commission.
