Kazakhstan's share in public procurements increases ? S.Akhmetov

ALMATY. May 25. KAZINFORM /Dauren Zhailin/ The new law on public procurements elaborated by Kazakhstan's Government gave local businesses a priority right in making orders among domestic companies and public bodies, Prime Minster Serik Akhmetov announced at the National Business Forum-2009 in Almaty.
According to Akhmetov, such a measure allowed to keep production rates while reducing consumer demand. Besides, according to him, the share of Kazakhstan's participation in procurements by subsoil users and national companies is increasing.
?At present over 1,300 memorandum to the amount of more than KZT 1 trln have been signed. About 10,000 contracts to the amount of KZT 400 bln have been concluded as part of these documents?, the Vice Prime Minister added.
