Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship to strengthen RK-EU relations - Michael Laubsch

According to him, Europe hopes that 2010 will become the year of consolidation and development for the OSCE. Kazakhstan has already demonstrated its choice - European way of development. In Mr. Laubsch's opinion Path to Europe state program sets the best pattern of this. "In recent years the Kazakh Republic has enhanced its foreign policy in European direction which in turn promotes Kazakh-EU relations", the expert noted.
As the President of the Eurasian Transit Group noted, Kazakhstan's oncoming presidency in the organization will allow our country together with the European Union resolving the problems both on the OSCE and foreign territories.
Kazakhstan can help the international community in regulation of the Afghan situation, the German expert considers. Our country can also serve as a model for other countries, especially in Central Asia, in ensuring energy security and development of democracy, protection of human rights and freedoms, he said.
