Kazakhstan?s OSCE chairmanship arrangements discussed in Moscow

MOSCOW. May 28. KAZINFORM /Arnur Rakhymbekov/ The Foreign Ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia held talks Wednesday in Moscow. The two countries' parties discussed the OSCE issues, and relations with the NATO, EU and other European countries, Russian MFA said.
Vice Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Kazakhstan Alexander Grushko and Konstantin Zhigalov were at the head of their countries' delegations.
The issues related to the arrangements of Kazakhstan?s OSCE chairmanship in 2010 were discussed in detail. The delegates exchanged opinions on the key issues on the agenda of this organization. The necessity to continue institutional reformation of the OSCE was emphasized during the talks.
The two parties exchanged opinions on the ways of strengthening European security, particularly in the context of the Russian President?s initiative on framing of a legally binding European security treaty.
The delegates informed each other of the status of their countries' relations with the NATO and EU. It was agreed to proceed regular consultations between the Russian and Kazakh Foreign Ministries on the issues of European security and cooperation.
