Kazakhstan's oil production more than triples over last 20 years: Minister

ASTANA. January 16. KAZINFORM Over the years of its independence Kazakhstan has stepped up oil production more than threefold, Minister of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin said Wednesday at the 15th session of the Council of "KAZENERGY" Association.
In his words, Kazakhstan managed to enter the world's top 15 countries by proven oil reserves and the top 20 countries by proven gas reserves.
"Crude production has more than tripled and gas production has increased fivefold over the said period of time," Minister Karabalin noted.
