Kazakhstan is a secular country, where different ethnic and religious groups live peacefully, there are no inter-ethnic clashes, there is a desire to meet international democratic standards. This model of development can serve as a model for other countries in Central Asia, Member of the European Parliament noted.

Metin Kazak also noted great potential for further development of relations between the EU and Kazakhstan, because our country is a strategic partner of the EU in the region. He stressed the importance of the new Agreement on Advanced Partnership and Cooperation, which is currently being developed. The document is aimed at strengthening ties in political, economic, social, cultural and humanitarian fields. At the same time, in his opinion, it is necessary to develop a political dialogue, to talk about problems and disagreements openly, that will promote their mutually beneficial solutions.

The Vice-Chair of the Subcommittee on Human Rights of the European Parliament commented on the Kazakh parliamentary elections, noting that their results have demonstrated the desire of Kazakhstan to continue the democratic path of development.
