Kazakhstan's light industry shows trend towards improvement

ALMATY. January 27. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ Thanks to the measures taken within the Anti-crisis Program of the Government the light industry of the country showed a trend towards improvement. This fact is encouraging especially taking into account the crisis situation in which our sector has been for recent few years. President of the Kazakh Association of Light Industry Lyubov Khudova said it in an interview to a Kazinform correspondent.
According to her, sectoral program of the light industry development till 2014 was adopted last year for the first time within the State Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Program. It provides particular measures on the sector support. "In particular, it provides measures to support exhibition activities. Thus, in 2010 domestic manufacturers, supported by KaznexInvest company, took part in the International Exhibition in Moscow", L.Khudova emphasized.
"The turning point of the sectoral program is that it provides modernization of enterprises and concessional lending for it. Thus, the situation is improving and we can see actual results now", she said.
