Kazakhstan's Labor Ministry banned to publish job ads demanding sex and age

As the press service of the ministry reports, guided by the Constitution and the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the committee recommended that the management of media to refrain from printing a newspaper ad for a job with the requirements of citizens's gender and age.

It should be noted that for violations by employers they may be fined by the state labor inspectorate.

As stated by the Ministry today in the media, more often in newspapers, there are announcements of employers who require gender and age, that is discrimination in the workplace. In this connection, in the first half of 2013 it is scheduled to introduce changes to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan.

"According to the Constitution and Article 7 of the Labour Code of Kazakhstan, all citizens have equal rights and opportunities. No citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan may be subjected to discrimination in the exercise of labor rights based on gender, age, disability, race, nationality, religion, political opinion, membership of a tribe or caste ", the press service quotes the chief state labor inspector of the country Serikkali Bisakaev.
