Kazakhstan's international reserves exceed $76 bln - Minister Kelimbetov

TANA. September 26. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The international reserves of Kazakhstan exceed USD 76 billion. Kazakh Minister of Economic Development and Trade Kairat Kelimbetov informed of it at a roundtable in the Majilis on Monday.
The attendees discussed the main aspects of the medium-term economic policy of Kazakhstan in terms on integration into the Single Economic Space and amid turbulence of the world economy.
"Despite the fact that during the crisis the money of the National Fund was used to support the economy, the amount of funds in the National Fund has doubled since 2007," Kelimbetov said.
According to him, the current amount of funds in the National Fund exceeds USD 40 billion. "It shows the stability of the Kazakh economy," the Minister added.
