Kazakhstan's Industrialization Strategy till 2020 to lean on 4 basic budgetary programs
"Main program is a five-year plan of industrialization. Its priorities are labor productivity, innovations, compliance with environmental requirements", the Minister said.
He named four new programs - Business Road Map-2020, Export-2020, Investor-2020 and Productivity-2020. "The first one will deal with the majority of enterprises. The draft concept of the program has already been presented. It has a solid package of measures and new mechanisms of support", A. Issekeshev said.
The program "Export-2020" is to stimulate non-primary export and provides with creation of an export credit agency on the basis of the State Insurance Corporation. The Minister noted that "it is a pilot project that needs to be completed this year."
Investor-2020 Program is the promotion of direct investments, particularly foreign ones. The program's funds will be spent for construction of special economic zones in the regions.
The fourth program "Productivity-2020" includes measures of support for technological modernization and increase of productivity of economy.
In whole 162 projects with the total budget of KZT 6.5 trillion were included into Kazakhstan's Industrialization Map planned to be realized in coming five years. The priority branches are metallurgy, agro-industrial complex, oil processing, energy, transport and communications, chemistry and pharmaceutics, construction, engineering, uranium industry, tourism, space and light industry.
