Kazakhstan's hockey team loses goalie before IIHF World Championship

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - It seems that goaltender of Kazakhstan's national hockey team and HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl Vitaly Kolesnik will not be able to help his team mates at the upcoming 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
According to Shaiba.kz, the 34-year-old goalie was injured. Kolesnik has not commented on his injury yet. Another professional puckster from Kazakhstan Yuri Sergiyenko who plays for HC Kazzinc Torpedo sustained a hand injury. Sergiyenko, 18, dubbed as one of the most talented young hockey players of Kazakhstan will miss the championship as well.
