ASTANA. October 16. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan failed to qualify for their first World Cup on Tuesday as a 3-1 loss away to Northern Ireland shattered their dreams, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
It was Dmitry Shomko who infused hope into Kazakhstani football fans by scoring the goal on the 13th minute of the game in Dublin.
However, the Irish side took the lead and scored three goals before the final whistle, ripping Kazakhstan's dream of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
