Kazakhstan's climate warming faster than world - Minister of Environmental Protection

N. Kapparov informed the Tien Shan glaciers have reduced by 25-30 percent at the end of the XX century.

"Such situation poses a serious threat to the water supply for agriculture, industry and the population of our country," N. Kapparov added.

Kazakh Minister of Environmental Protection emphasized the water deficiency today in Kazakhstan is more than 20 percent.

In addition, N. Kapparov noted that the country has great opportunities to save water. For example, the country's communal sector can save 50 percent of water. And also it is necessary to stimulate introduction of water saving technologies in agriculture.
