Kazakhstan's chairmanship provided major breakthrough for SCO - Nazarbayev

On behalf of the heads of state Nursultan Nazarbayev summed up the results of the summit. According to the Kazakh President, the meeting was held in the traditional spirit of trust and understanding. The heads of state exchanged views on key international and regional issues, discussed the work of the Organization for the ten-year period and identified prospects for SCO development.

"The strength of the Organization lies in balancing the three components of activity - security, economy, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The meeting participants vowed to further improve the role and place of the SCO in regional and global policy and enhance cooperation with observer states and dialogue partners," Nazarbayev emphasized.

As noted by Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan's chairmanship has provided a major breakthrough for all aspects of the SCO.
