Kazakhstan, Russia to sign deals worth $1.8 billion

ASTANA. September 17. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and Russia are to sign eight agreements totaling 1.8 billion US dollars at the business forum on September 18 in Pavlodar.

Kazakh Government's official spokesperson Yerzhan Ashikbayev told Monday briefing.

The event will take place on the threshold of the 9th Interregional Cooperation Forum of Kazakhstan and Russia with the participation of the heads of states.

"For instance, the sides are expected to sign the agreement on production and sales of Lada vehicles by AziaAvto and AvtoVAZ companies in Kazakhstan and a memorandum of cooperation on construction of the power generating unit #4 of Ekibastuz power station worth 900 million US dollars," Y. Ashikbayev said.

According to him, at the interregional forum the presidents are to discuss the problems of interaction in the business sector.
