Kazakhstan, Russia enjoy common positions in all directions - S. Lavrov

ASTANA. February 22. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan and Russia share common positions in all directions, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov has said at a briefing following the talks with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Akorda Palace today.

"At the meeting with N. Nazarbayev me and my colleague Kanat Saudabayev told about today's negotiations devoted to development of practical steps on implementation of the agreements reached on the presidential level", Lavrov said.

Alongside he noted that the agreements concerned bilateral relations of Kazakhstan and Russia as well as participation of the countries in various multilateral structures like the CIS, the OSCE, the CSTO, the EurAsEC, Customs Union, the UN and others.

"Kazakhstan and Russia share common positions in all directions. We act as strategic partners, allies and we agreed today on practical steps which will provide successful chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE and Russia - in the CIS in 2010", the Russian FM concluded.
