Kazakhstan, Russia discussed joint projects in transport sector
The Kazakh delegation was headed by Vice Minister of Transport and Communications Azat Bekturov. Representatives of the Kazakh Ministry and "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" National Company" JSC took part in the session.
The Russian delegation was headed by State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Transport Sergei Aristov. The delegation included representatives of the Russian Ministry of Transport, "Russian Railways" JSC, "TransConteiner" JSC and other state bodies and business structures of Russia.
Issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of railway and highway transport, roads and civil aviation were discussed at the meeting.
In the field of highway transport the issues of passenger transportation between Kazakhstan and Russia, additional exchange of special permits for transportation to and from third countries were addressed.
Besides, the parties discussed the issues of construction of a road on rout Ridder - Russian border - Talda - Karagai - Tuekta - Mongolian border. In particular, the process of realization of the Memo between the Russian Ministry of Transport and the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications on cooperation and development of roads connecting West Europe and West China were discussed.
Upon the results of the session the sides signed the Protocol of the meeting.
