Kazakhstan ready to implement economic reforms - A. Somma

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan expresses its readiness to implement economic reforms, head of the Eurasian Competitiveness Programme of the OECD Antonio Somma told prior to the meeting with Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova.

"I am meeting Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Mrs. Abdykalikova today to discuss future work on implementation of the program and discuss the program focused on gender equality and further strengthening of competitiveness of the economy of Kazkahtsan," A. Somma said.

He also added that delegation of the OECD is in Astana now for discussing the issues of future deepening of cooperation.

"Kazakhstan expresses its readiness to implement economic reforms and the program of the OECD includes conducting of 28 surveys and provides for use of 28 OECD instruments by Kazakhstan and participation of Kazakhstan in 6 OECD organizations," A. Somma added.

He also added that the program was signed by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov in Davos on January 27, 2015.
