Kazakhstan ready to be mediator in mending relations between West and Islamic world - Bobrov
Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Majilis Vladimir Bobrov has said at a roundtable entitled "The Strategy of the EU in Central Asia and new Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and EU on enhanced partnership".
The Kazakh parliamentarian reminded that this year our country chairs the OIC. "I am confident that Kazakhstan's experience in the OSCE will be useful in the OIC and give it "a new breath," he said.
V.Bobrov noted, that in the light of the current events in North Africa and the Middle East, Kazakhstan faces a serious task on rendering assistance on stabilizing the situation in the region and support of the countries in the transition period, using the mechanisms and institutions of the Organization.
"Taking into account active participation of our European partners in the process of stabilization and rendering assistance to these countries, Kazakhstan is ready to be a mediator in the issue regarding mending of relations between the West and the Muslim world through the current regional structures. It will allow to create additional conditions for formation of a constructive dialogue between the two largest civilizations of the world," V.Bobrov emphasized.
