ASTANA. April 20. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan moved up 8 places in the World Gender Equity Index, taking 33rd place and ahead of its CIS neighbors," said Rashida Naubetova, the Secretary of the National Commission for Women and Family-Demographic Policy under the Kazakhstan President .

"Gender Equity Index 2012" was published in early April by the international organization "Social Watch".
