Kazakhstan ranked 51st in Global Competitiveness Index

ASTANA. September 6. KAZINFORM - According to the Global Competitiveness Report, published by the World Economic Forum, including an analysis of the 144 countries of the world, in 2011 Kazakhstan topped the list of the CIS countries in the Global Competitiveness Index, rising from 72nd to 51st spot, the press service of Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communication reported.

By the way, Russia and Ukraine ranked 67th and 73rd respectively.

The significant growth of these indicators in the world ranking was the result of efforts to ensure the provision of population of Kazakhstan with telecommunications services, infrastructure and advanced technologies, such as: 3G, CDMA-450/800, 4G, FTTN, FTTB.
