ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan rail stations and terminals to be adapted for the disabled by 2018, this has been announced today by the Minister of Transport and Communications Zhenis Kasymbek during the meeting discussed results of "Kedergіsіz Bolashak - Future without barriers" project under Nur Otan party.

At present 74 stations and 39 rail terminals have specialized ticket offices. 24 stations are equipped with wheelchairs. But this is not enough, as 302 railway stations operate in Kazakhstan, said Zh.Kasymbek. In addition, Zh.Kasymbek focused on the fact that the major part of transport infrastructure is not suitable for use by disabled persons.
