Kazakhstan provides practical assistance to stabilize political situation in Ukraine
In accordance with the statement of President Nazarbayev, announced at the Customs Union - Ukraine - EU summit in Minsk on August 26, presently we examine the possibility to elaborate and implement a broad program of economic and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
Moreover, in the framework of cooperation within international organizations, Kazakhstan provided $40 thousands to support activity of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, which paid special attention to realization of agreements to stop combat actions.
The Special Monitoring Mission was acknowledged as an efficient instrument of the OSCE, demonstrating ability of the organization to respond effectively and swiftly to crises. Particularly, the Mission had a positive impact on ensuring access for investigators to the place of the MH17 plane crush, as well as implementing the Geneva Joint Statement and Berlin agreement on situation in Ukraine.
