"We have exchanged views on topical issues of international politics. Recently, we participated with President Yudhoyono in the Seoul Summit on Nuclear Security. Kazakhstan, who voluntarily renounced nuclear weapons, closed the world's largest Semipalatinsk test site, welcomes and supports this trend.

We highly estimate the presidency of Indonesia in ASEAN in 2011. Congratulations on your upcoming chairmanship in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. Our country is ready to expand cooperation with Indonesia in the framework of the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia and other international organizations," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The President noted that the outcome of the talks, which fully satisfy him, demonstrated the mutual desire of Kazakhstan and Indonesia to expand political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

"A joint statement, which we've adopted today, reflects the key areas of work. We have a lot to do to establish an intergovernmental commission, a business council, to organize a visit of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy to Kazakhstan to attend the Economic Forum. I think that the dynamics of our meetings will increase from year to year. I am very pleased to invite Mr. President to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan. And the dynamics of such meetings will comply with the wishes of both countries," the Kazakh President emphasized.
