According to him, in the current year the fund's loans will finance 100 hectares of family-intensive orchards. The orchards will use new technology for growing apples and, as a consequence, the harvest will be increased. At the designed capacity the gardens will bring at least 4 thousand tons of apples per year. Kazakhstan companies producing apples plan to occupy the niches previously held by the now banned importers. As Kazinform previously reported, in July, in response to Moscow's intervention in the Ukraine crisis, the United States and Europe hit Russia with new tough sanctions. Thereafter, on August 6 a one-year ban was imposed by Russia on some types of agricultural products, raw materials and food products imported from the countries supporting sanctions against Russia, which are the USA, countries of European union, Australia, Norway and Canada.
