Kazakhstan plans to clean up Caspian Sea

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - It turns out that over 60 drowned and left ships and metal constructions with the total weight exceeding 54 thousand tons are registered in the water area of the Caspian Sea, Littera newspaper writes.

The Ministry of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan plan to begin the work on cleaning the Uralo-Caspian basin off drowned ships and other constructions. The estimates cost of the project is about 4.5 billion tenge.
Besides, it was noted that 60 percent of those drowned ships have oil products, production household wastes on board.
