Kazakhstan planning to build 1100 new industrial enterprises till 2014

ASTANA. April 4. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ During the first year of implementation of the state program of forced industrial innovative development we built 152 new export-oriented enterprises. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a press conference for foreign and local media on Monday.

"As a result we created 25 000 new jobs. Besides, these enterprises ensured 2% of growth in the total country's economy growth of 8.5%," Nazarbayev noted.

He said that it was planned to build 1100 more enterprises till 2014. Funds for the construction of 300 facilities will be allocated from the state budget; the rest part will be financed from the local budget.

The President emphasized that the growth rates in the processing industry made 19% in 2010. "The country's economy grew by 10% last year," Nazarbayev resumed.
