Kazakhstan performed huge work over 9 months of OSCE chairmanship - Majilis Deputy A. Zholshybekov

ASTANA. October 14. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Over nine months of the OSCE chairmanship Kazakhstan has performed huge work, Chairman of the Majilis Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security Amzebek Zholshybekov has said it at a briefing in the Parliament today.

"According to independent experts and politicians Kazakhstan has done huge work in these nine months. Hosting the OSCE top-level summit in December in Astana will become the culmination of this politically important year. At this summit the heads of the OSCE states and its partners will express their views on Kazakhstan's activity at this post", A. Zholshybekov said.

The Deputy informed the journalists of the forthcoming International Parliamentary Conference on "OSCE and CIS: New Opportunities and Prospects" scheduled for late October in Saint Petersburg. Over 300 delegates are expected to attend the event.

A. Zholshybekov told also about the results of the Autumn Sessions of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly held in the city of Palermo, Italy. As is known, the Deputy was among the members of the Kazakh delegation there.
