Kazakhstan Parliament lays great emphasis on interaction with PACE - Senate Vice Speaker A. Sudyin

ASTANA. October 7. KAZINFORM A delegation of the Kazakh Parliament headed by Vice Speaker of the Senate Alexander Sudyin has met with Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Cavusoglu in Strasbourg within the session of the PACE.

During the meeting the parties noted dynamics of development of interaction between the Parliament of Kazakhstan and the PACE and spoke for further strengthening of cooperation between the institutions of parliamentary dialogue.

"We lay great emphasis on interaction with the PACE. The Parliament of Kazakhstan is interested in development of constructive dialogue with the European colleagues", A. Sudyin said.

According to him, "active inter-parliamentary cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe promotes strengthening the political dialogue and expanding economic interaction".

The parties also focused on the agenda of the forthcoming OSCE Summit in Astana. PACE Chairman Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the historical decision to let Kazakhstan host the top-level Summit was a merit of President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The sides discussed also the activity of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, its role in public-political life of the country. M. Cavusoglu stressed that the Assembly's work helped raise Kazakhstan's weight on the international arena as a country effectively solving the inter-ethnic problems.
