Kazakhstan opens first-ever International IT University

ASTANA. June 10. KAZINFORM. A press conference devoted to the opening of the first Kazakhstan?s IT University in Almaty city has been held in Astana today; Kazinform informs citing the Kazakh Agency on Informatization and Communication.
Kazakh Minister of Education and Science Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Agency on Informatization and Communication Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev, Chairman of the Board of ?Zerde? National Information and Communication Holding Adilbek Sarsenov, President of the University of International Business Yerlan Sagadiyev and Rector of the International University of Information Technologies Damir Shynybekov took part in the event. The International University of Information Technologies was founded in April 2009 together with the American iCarnegie University in accordance with the Kazakh President?s commission.The term of apprenticeship will be 4 years. The graduates will receive a state-recognized degree and iCarnegie certificate. In whole the university will enroll 7,500 students. 300 state grants were allocated for the university this year.
