Kazakhstan opens 7 data processing centres

ASTANA. KAZINFORM National Information Technologies Company put on stream July this year data processing centres in seven regions of Kazakhstan, its press service said.
The data centres for state bodies were set up in Ust Kamenogorsk, Aktau, Aktobe, Shymkent, Atyrau, Kokshetau and Taldykorgan.
The data centre is part of the project aimed at creating a server-based internet platform for web hosting rendered to the country's government agencies. The data centre services let state bodies spare funds for the construction of the server framework, its equipment and maintanece.
These data centres pass all the international quality standards, the press release read.
It is also planned to commission another seven data handling centres in Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Uralsk, Petropavlovsk, Taraz and Almaty.
This project will become an infrastructure platform for further development of the e-government program.
